SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger

SPOT has released its latest Satellite GPS Messenger which is 30% smaller and lighter compared to its predecessor, and comes with the added advantage of being able to offer custom messaging modes. Basically, the SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger is an emergency beacon that is equipped with GPS, alerting relevant authorities that you are in serious danger so that a rescue team can be scrambled and pull you out of whatever deep hole you’ve fallen into. When activated, the SPOT will automatically acquire its current co-ordinates from a GPS network, sending it with a distress message to a GEOS International Emergency Response Center every five minutes until cancelled. Hopefully you won’t be in a GPS dead zone when you activate it though. The basic service will cost you $100 annually, while another $50 yearly will enable you to share your saved GPS coordinates.
