Palm Pre tweets your location
Posted on Aug 27, 09 07:52 PM PDT
If you happen to be one of the 10 people in your area to own a Palm Pre and are an absolute fan of the Twitter service, then how about performing a little programming magic on it to have the Pre tweet its current location at set intervals? You'll need to set up SSH and dynamic DNS on your Pre before getting started though, as shown below.
< ?php
$gps = `luna-send -n 1
palm://com.palm.location/getCurrentPosition {}
2>&1 | cut -d, -f4,5 | sed -r ’s/[^-\.0-9,]//g’`;
Other instructions are available here, but do exercise caution when doing so.
