Rodem better than wheelchair
Posted on Aug 27, 09 09:04 PM PDT

The 4-wheeled Rodem looks like a much cooler ride compared to a standard wheelchair, where one can steer it using a joystick or hold onto its motorbike-style handles while one's knees and chest will remain on a cushion. This design makes room for one to slide on and off the vehicle in a jiffy, reducing the reliance on care-givers whenever they want to go up and about. The Rodem should not be classified as a robot since it is too simple to be known as one, although it could eventually evolve into the robot category sometime down the road with added functionalities such as being summoned from the bedside to serve its new owner.
