Safaricom to reveal solar-powered cellphone

Safaricom from Kenya has rolled out its latest solar-powered cellphone known as Simu ya Solar, where the handset itself was constructed using recycled materials, while an integrated solar panel ensures your handset is well juiced up to handle any incoming calls. Perfect for those who tend to spend plenty of time in rural areas where electricity is harder to come by compared to a steady stream of sunlight. Now if only being in those remote areas would also mean being able to capture a decent signal strength on the handset...
