Solar powered reading light
Posted on Aug 27, 09 09:56 AM PDT

Folks living in urban areas most probably take electricity for granted, unlike those in villages and rural parts of the world who still live off candlelight or moon light (when available) once the sun decides to hide for several hours. How to offer these people a better standard of living? The answer is simple - solar power, as evident by this solar-powered reading light that is good for approximately 500 charges, amounting to up to one and a half years of constant use. This device enables one to read and perform other tasks which require light long after dusk has fallen, using energy saving LEDs that offer high brightness levels without sipping up too much juice in the process. Hopefully they'll be affordable enough when released.
