AU Ply concept phone materializes
Posted on Sep 9, 09 12:34 PM PDT

What used to be a conceptual handset has materialized into something real - the Ply cellphone from AU of Japan. It is pretty much an ordinary handset in the Land of the Rising Sun when it comes to functions, but check out the form factor of this slider with tiny little tabs on the side that makes it look like some sort of real life virtual folder. Features include GPS navigation, a 3.2-megapixel camera, 1Seg TV tuner support, LISMO music and video compatibility as well as AU BOX support among others. You won't see the Ply arrive anywhere outside of Japan officially, that's for sure.
