Garmin's latest marine handheld, the GPS 72H is touted to be faster and more reliable than ever (don't they all claim that with sequels to products?), where some of these new features will include the ability to transfer waypoints, tracks and routes using its USB interface. Battery life has also been given a boost, hitting 18 hours with standard usage, and ups the ante by being fully waterproof to IPX-7 standards, letting you leave it underwater for up to 30 minutes as long as it is no more than one meter deep. Seafarers can expect to see the Garmin GPS 72H marine handheld arrive in the market sometime next month for $150.
