Microsoft Multitouch Keyboard

It seems that Microsoft has filed a patent for a very interesting touchscreen keyboard design. One of the common problems of touchscreen keyboards is that users can’t really “feel” where the keyboard is, so they resort to having to look at the screen. Utilizing the benefits of multitouch, this intuitive keyboard design makes the on-screen keyboard appear wherever your palms are located, eliminating the need to know where the keyboard is. It seems so simple, yet is very useful. We certainly hope that we’ll see this implemented sooner rather than later. One reader did happen to point out that the virtual keyboard in the picture is missing the letter “G”, which is kind of funny. We’re sure they’ll iron out some of the kinks before releasing it.
