TerreStar Genus smartphone
Posted on Sep 30, 09 04:49 PM PDT

AT&T and TerreStar have teamed up to bring the new TerreStar Genus hybrid smartphone to the masses, where they will be able to take advantage of both AT&T’s network and TerreStar’s satellite network whenever you want to make/receive a call. This means you will be able to take advantage of the satellite network whenever there isn't an available cellular signal, making sure your boss can call you no matter where you are - even while holidaying on the Andes. This Windows Mobile-powered handset will come with GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, a 2.6" touchscreen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi support, GPS navigation and Bluetooth connectivity.
