Belkin SurgeMaster Surge Protectors recall
Posted on Oct 28, 09 10:24 AM PDT

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for all Belkin SurgeMaster Surge Protectors in the market, currently numbered at approximately 68,700 of them. Apparently, the molding of the plastic 360 degree rotating plug that makes it a snap for cord movement, is more than capable of cracking or detaching from the plug assembly, resulting in a shock hazard to consumers. All consumers ought to cease using these power strips ASAP while contacting Belkin for a new, free replacement unit. So far no injuries or death were reported concerning this product recall - lets hope it stays that way until the entire exercise is over.
