Bing Becomes More Mobile Friendly

It looks like Microsoft is stepping up the war against Google with its newly refreshed version of Bing for mobile devices (m.bing.com). This revamped site has been optimized for touch-screen devices, sporting finger-friendly buttons which are much easier to press, not to mention other useful features such as a movie finger, allowing users to browse what movie is playing nearby and also the time and theater. The new version only works with the iPhone/iPod touch, T-Mobile G1, Samsung Omnia, Verizon Imagio and the Zune HD, so if you're using other phone models, you'll get a much simpler version of the site. The bad news is that this new version is only available for folks in the US, so tough luck if you're overseas. Will Google start sweating over this development? Probably not, but it should keep a wary eye on Microsoft's Bing, at least.
