FCC Questions Google Voice Call Blocker
Posted on Oct 10, 09 06:54 AM PDT

It looks like the FCC is looking deeper into the details of Google’s Google Voice offering, specifically it wants information on how Google Voice calls are routed, how the restrictions are implemented, and how it identifies the telephone numbers which it restricts calls. This bit of news should be certainly welcome to AT&T, which has been against the whole Google Voice idea from the start, though we can certainly understand why. If it does work out nicely for Google in the end, we’re fairly sure it will increase competition and we (the users) will benefit in the long run.
