Garmin G3000 targets light turbine aircraft
Posted on Oct 21, 09 06:02 AM PDT

This is one Garmin device that not all of us are able to afford - the Garmin G3000 is but a touchscreen-controlled integrated flightdeck that will target light turbine aircraft, featuring an icon-driven interface for easy accessibility, a 5.7" diagonal touchscreen controller, infrared touchscreen technology with audio and visual feedback, 14.1" WXGA high resolution primary flight displays (PFD) and multi-function display (MFD) alongside a fully digital, dual channel, fail passive auto flight system. Expect the G3000 to be certified sometime down in the distant future, say the second half of 2011 onwards.
