Nokia to work on new Symbian phone
Posted on Oct 30, 09 09:26 AM PDT

Nokia might be losing its marketshare in the US, but that doesn't mean the resilient cellphone manufacturer from Finland is going to give up the fight anytime soon. Word has it that they will be working in tandem with AT&T on a new Symbian-powered handset, where it will probably run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor as well. This is interesting as the resulting handset will probably be a rival to the iPhone 3GS which is currently one of AT&T's best selling smartphone to date. Would the natural pecking order be upset? We can only sit and wait in anticipation.
