Samsung will finally roll out a couple of its LD-series notebook monitors Stateside - it sure too pretty long considering how Samsung released those in Korea earlier this February. Known as the LD220 and LD190N, they are companion monitors and will function as secondary displays for notebooks. The LD220G is a 22" monitor that will rely on USB connectivity to send video including those at 1080p resolution. Apart from that, it also doubles up as a USB hub that throws in additional ports for expansion purposes. As for the 18.5" LD190N, this model will come with a 1,366 x 768 resolution while keeping you connected via a VGA cable. Shared specifications between the two include a brightness of 250cd/m2, a dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000:1 and a 5ms pixel response time. The LD220G and LD190N will retail for $250 and $150, respectively.
