Sprint announces Samsung Moment
Posted on Oct 8, 09 02:37 AM PDT

Sprint has just announced that their latest handset, the Samsung Moment will be the first in the US from Samsung to run on the Android operating system. The Samsung moment will also come with a range of pre-loaded Google mobile services such as Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail and YouTube, alongside the thousands of currently available applications over at the Android Market. Other features of the Samsung Moment include a 3.2" AMOLED touchscreen display, an 800MHz processor (no 1GHz Snapdragon here, but it shouldn't be a sleeper), Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G support, a full QWERTY keyboard, GPS navigation, a 3.2-megapixel camera with flash, camcorder and autofocus capabilities and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Samsung Moment will be available from Sprint from November 1st onwards, retailing for $179.99 after a $50 instant savings and a $100 mail-in-rebate alongside a two-year service agreement.
