Upcoming iMacs: New design, Blu-Ray and Core i7 (rumor)

The latest in the rumor mill is that Apple plans to use Core i7 processors in its upcoming iMacs. The iMac would be the first "non pro" Macs to get quad-core CPUs. That would also mean that Apple is going to use a chipset from Intel again, as the current Nvidia 9400M does not support Core i7 CPUs. We wonder if Apple is going to use an discrete graphics chip or go for Intel's integrated solution. On the Blu-Ray front, it looks like it might be available as an option at best, as the drives are still expensive. Finally, the iMac is said to be due for a design update, featuring a thinner and more organic design. Photo above: the current iMacs
