DIY battery powered USB charger

Check out this DIY battery powered USB charger that requires but a handful of extremely cheap components, although you will need some semblance of skill and electronics know-how before making your very own USB charger that won't fry connected devices in the process. A 9V battery is definitely a staple for this project, so make sure that you have the right connectors in order to cater to a variety of USB-powered devices that are already in the market.
