Garmin Aera For The Skies
Posted on Nov 3, 09 02:39 AM PDT

Not content with dominating just land, Garmin wants to dominate the skies too it seems. We’re talking about the Garmin Aera, which is a new GPS navigation system from Garmin, supporting both aircrafts and cars, allowing you to easily switch between the 2 modes. Sporting a 4.3-inch screen, when in “air mode”, it will provide pilots with maps, weather, terrain, and a lot of other useful information. Models include aera 500, aera 510, aera 550 and aera 560. They aren’t cheap though, ranging from $800 to $2000, but if you’re rich enough to own an aircraft, this is probably just lunch money to you, right?
