Google Acquires VoIP Company Gizmo5

Google has officially confirmed that it has acquired the VoIP company Gizmo5. While there isn’t any official price listed as of now, but word on the Internet claim that it could have been for $30 million. This action will certainly fuel speculation that Google could be planning to face off with Skype and dedicated phone companies. Considering its arsenal of free-phone-number service, Google Talk and Gizmo5’s VoIP calling system, it certainly looks like something we’d need to keep an eye on, so stay tuned!
