iPod Touch EasyPay System

The fact that Apple’s stores use Windows CE-based handhelds to help with their sales has been a running joke for some time, and it looks like Apple is set to tackle that. The new method will see a new iPod touch based point-of-sale system, coupled with an accessory, giving the device powers of a magnetic stripe reader, barcode scanner, and also has Apple’s proprietary payment-processing software. With this, Apple Store employees will be able to use these devices to accept purchases made with credit cards, debit cards and cash, not to mention they can also make returns and active a new iPhone. If you see this appear in any store, do drop us a comment.
