Reports Of Damaged 27-inch iMacs Increasing
Posted on Nov 24, 09 07:30 AM PDT

After being the good boy and waiting for your shiny new Core i7 iMac to arrive, you’d expect to have a happy and joyful day when it arrives, right? Well, it seems that it wasn’t the case for many folks who ordered the 27-inch Core i7 iMac. Reports are going around the Internet that many iMacs were unable to boot when taken out of the box, and some were even worse, as there were reports of cracks at the bottom left corner of the screen. The box that the iMac came in seemed to be OK, so it’s highly possible that it’s a packing flaw. Unfortunately it will take about 2 weeks to get a replacement machine, though the good news is that Apple is taking responsibility for this and is busy sorting things out.
