Posted on Nov 6, 09 03:43 AM PDT

The folks over at Qualcomm must be wearing rather big smiles today, since Samsung has announced that it has come to an agreement with Qualcomm, and will pay $1.3 billion for using Qualcomm's CDMA, WCMA, and OFDMA patents for the next 15 years. If that wasn't good enough, the $1.3 billion will be paid upfront, with additional royalties to be paid afterwards. Talk about good cashflow!
