Swype on Verizon Omnia II
Posted on Nov 25, 09 09:52 AM PDT
Text input on the Samsung Omnia II from Verizon will be powered by Swype technology which is touted to increase typed speed alongside correcting all standard errors automatically. Ditching the QWERTY method, Swype will instead rely on tracing the path a user takes to type, arriving at the correct letter. The video that you see above shows Swype beating the iPhone hands down, but then again such a test would be valid with many random sentences typed out instead of one which could be pre-mediated that ends up as a favorable result for Swype.
