Creative’s Zii Trinity is a rather capable device. Based on the video here it seems to handle outputting HD video rather well. The snippet of Wall-E isn’t seen for very long, but you get the idea. Are you looking forward to the Creative Zii Trinity?

Creative announced the concept on December 1st. It features accelerated 3D graphics, Composite and mini-HDMI video outputs, 5 megapixel autofocus camera, built-in Wi-Fi as well as a 3.1-inch multi-touch display. The smartphone has been designed by Ziilabs, a subsidiary of Creative, and will be licensed to clients that are able to customize the optimized Android and Plaszma interface.

The device hasn’t had a detailed hands-on as yet only one publication was able to get some time with it recently. It also comes with a front camera for video conferencing and a proprietary slot which can be swapped for a microUSB or mini-HDMI port. The latter will make it easier to hook up the phone to a TV for HD video output.

As seen in this short clip the playback is certainly smooth with apt sound, a commendable feat. The ARM-based ZMS-05 or ZMS-08 package appears to be holding up pretty well. Now if only we could gets a hands-on with it to put the Creative Zii Trinity through its paces.
