Sanyo Solar Electric Vehicle

Sanyo let out word that they will parade their Solar Electric Vehicle (EV) at the upcoming Eco Products 2009 International Exhibition in Tokyo, where this solar EV will be powered not by Eneloops, but Sanyo’s very own Solar Panels and Lithium Ion batteries. The truck (sorry, no fancy sports car here) is able to run up to a purported 130km after 16 hours of direct solar charging, while those who decide to take the more conventional approach of going through AC power will require half the amount of time. Too bad this ain’t a looker, otherwise a green playboy might just want to check it out.
