Doxie scanner makes archiving a snap

[CES 2010] Just before you think that scanners cannot get any more interesting, along comes the Doxie that will be revealed to the masses at ShowStoppers this coming Thursday. What makes Doxie so different from the rest? Well, this scanner is able to scan straight to the cloud, digitizing paper and photos to frequently used web apps including Google Docs, Evernote, Scribd, Backpack, Acrobat.com and Flickr. Apart from that, it is also capable of scanning straight to desktop apps such as iPhoto or Picasa, while the exclusive Doxie Cloud PDF hosting service caters for instant document sharing through a variety of channels like e-mail, chat and Twitter. It is nice to know that Doxie works with both PC and Mac platforms, and will feature an intuitive, integrated design that scans with a single press of the Multi-Tap Heart Button. Released later this February for $129, do you think the rather feminine design will endear itself to users of both genders?
