Skiff Reader to hit CES

The Skiff Reader is touted to be the first e-reader that is specially optimized for newspaper and magazine content, where it will make its debut at CES 2010. Boasting a generous 11.5″ display, it measures a mere 0.25″ in overall height, making it the thinnest e-reader announced to date. You get a 1,200 x 1,600 UXGA resolution, full touchscreen capability and a battery that lasts for over a week (for average users), where it tips the scales at slightly more than one pound. The Skiff Reader will work in tandem with Sprint as the latter provides their 3G connection for folks in the US, although you can always choose to surf the Internet through a Wi-Fi connection. Expect other essential details like pricing and availability to be announced on the CES showfloor later this week. [Press Release]
