Toshiba E205 laptop on Best Buy
Posted on Jan 8, 10 03:34 AM PDT

[CES 2010] Toshiba's next-generation thin and light laptop, the E205, is now available on Best Buy, where it has bragging rights of being the first few laptops out of the door that come with Intel Wireless Display technology. Basically, that means severing physical ties with your HDTV, where you can stream movies and photographs as well as other digital content to your HDTV with a simple button press. This laptop tips the scales at a mere 5.1 pounds, measuring no more than 1.2" thin while boasting the all-new Intel Core i5-430M processor with Turbo Boost Technology to provide above average performance while you're at work, masterfully churning out PowerPoint presentations at your boss' request. For $999.99 upwards, you get a 14" widescreen LED Backlit display, an LED backlit keyboard, a touchpad with Multi-touch Control, a slot-loading DVD drive, half a terabyte of storage space, 4GB RAM, Wi-Fi N connectivity and an HDMI port. Running on Windows 7 Home Premium, the Toshiba E205 ought to last up to six hours at best, so we're probably looking at four hours plus (give or take) in real world performance. You can't just waltz into any Best Buy now and pick this up - it is available from January 17th onwards.
