HTC Trophy - yet another Windows Mobile smartphone?

You can’t really escape the shadow of having good software, as evident by a slew of solid smartphones in recent memory which are “wasted” on the Windows Mobile operating system while both Android and the iPhone OS continue their march to world domination. The HTC Trophy falls under such a category, where it comes with sleek specifications such as a 3″ VGA capacitive touchscreen display, a full QWERTY keyboard, a Qualcomm MSM7227 600MHz processor, 512 MB of flash memory, 256 MB RAM, GPS/AGPS capability, Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR connectivity, dualband (900/2100) WCDMA/HSPA, quadband GSM/EDGE, a Motion G-sensor and Business Card Scanner. Sounds too comprehensive and good to be true, but the major drawback for most would be having it run on Windows Mobile 6.5. Then again, a closer look at the HTC Trophy could make you think that it is nothing but a fan render, making it the ‘trophy’ that HTC has been looking for to topple the iPhone from its lofty perch.
