Ubuntu Netbook Edition targets ARM-powered smartbooks

A remixed version of the popular Ubuntu Linux operating system has resulted in the Ubuntu Netbook Edition, targeting netbooks with small displays and relatively low power processors. Apart from that, a bunch of smartbooks with ARM-based processors will also be able to support Ubuntu Netbook Edition in the near future, where the software developers had to rewrite the user interface for the ARM version of Ubuntu Network Edition simply because the Ubuntu Netbook Edition user interface required 3D hardware drivers which are not always found on all ARM-based chipsets to date. In order to circumvent the situation, 2D Enlightenment Foundation Libraries were used in place of 3D hardware support where graphical effects are concerned.
