Are Organic Light Emitting Transistors More Efficient Than OLEDs?

You might nothave had the luxury of owning an OLED TV, but it seems that by the time you’ve got enough pennies in your piggy bank, there might be a new type of luxury TV around. Researchers have discovered that Organic Light Emitting Transistors (OLET) can be between 2 to 100 times more efficient than OLED, and that’s certainly something that we’re happy to hear. Of course, there are still challenges to OLETs before they become mainstream, such as the necessary operating voltage, but do you think we’ll all be rocking OLET TVs in our living rooms in the future?
