Kakai renamed to Kno, ready to roll out tablet in June

Remember Kakai? Perhaps not, but just to refresh your memory, they were working on a Kindle rival that will target the classroom segment, but news has it that the company just rebranded itself to be known as Kno, and has targeted a formal appearance at the D8 conference this coming June 2nd onwards. We do know that it will be a hybrid e-reader and note-taking device targeting the student market, albeit featuring support for both audio and video. Good hardware cannot carry a device alone these days anymore, so we’re pretty interested to see what kind of software and platform support the Kno will get.
