Sinchun M5A Mobile Internet Device powered by Windows 7

Sinchun has a spanking new M5A Mobile Internet Device (MID) which will run on the Windows 7 operating system, and frankly we aren’t too impressed by its hardware – you get an Intel Atom Z515 1.2GHz processor that might be overworked considering the latest Windows operating system requires at least a 1GHz processor to keep it going. Bear in mind that minimum system requirements often offer a frustrating user experience due to the slowness and lag involved, but hopefully it has been tweaked to run decently on the M5A. Apart from that, the 5″ TFT display at 800 x 480 resolution doesn’t really offer much room to use the M5A as a working tool, making it more of a decent email checking and casual surfing machine. Other specifications include GPS support and a 3G module, while the inclusion of telephony features could probably let you use it as a phone, but that remains to be confirmed.
