Rumor: Nikon D8000 To Replace The D90?

Rumors of upcoming Nikon cameras to replace the aging D90 and D3000 have been going around for some time, and now additional details seemed to have surfaced. While it’s still very much a rumor, the D90 could be replaced by the D8000 which would pack a 16-18 megapixel sensor; the D3000 will be succeeded by the D4000 with a 14-16 megapixel sensor. Both these cameras are rumored to be released sometime between now and Photokina, which isn’t all that far away.

Aside from that, word of three new lenses are also going around, which include a new 35mm f/1.4 or the 85mm f/1.4 VR prime lens; a 24-105mm f/4 VRII or 24-120mm f/4 VRII zoom lens; and possibly a 28-300mm f/4.5-5.6, 100-500mm or 100-400mm telephoto lens.
