Toshiba Dynabook AZ Series netbook runs on Android 2.1

By now, most of us would have gotten immune to new netbook releases, since they more or less are limited to selected hardware specifications, with nothing really new surprising anyone anymore. Well, Toshiba pulls a rabbit out of the proverbial hat with their latest Dynabook AZ Series that will run on the Android 2.1 platform, where you can check out its list of specifications in the extended post. Nice to see HDMI output thrown into the mix, not to mention NVIDIA’s Tegra 250 1.0GHz processor as well that ought to provide sufficient muscle for high definition video playback on a larger display. Toshiba has also bundled in their Toshiba Media Player application to help turn it into a multimedia powerhouse on the go. While there is no word on availability, it will probably hit the Japanese market first, retailing for around 355 Euros.
