Twitter To Shorten URLs With T.co URL

Twitter is doing what it can to help make its service friendlier to mobile users and now the micro-blogging service is testing a new service – t.co – to shorten all links shared on its site, similar to URL-shortening services such as Bit.ly. Shotened URLs will be shown to users on mobile devices, but users viewing the message on a computer will still be able to see the entire URL. Such a move would likely put some pressure on competitors such as Bit.ly, though users are still free to use whatever URL shortener that they please. Are you a frequent user of URL shorteners?
