This means you are able to jailbreak or root a phone legally in order to run software that’s prohibited by the manufacturer or wireless carrier, while decrypting DVDs to use them in short excerpts for educational, non-commerical or documentary purposes. Bear in mind that this piece of news doesn’t mean a slew of devices down the road will not feature any copy protection.
