BlackTrail BT-01 can even outrun motorcycles

An electric-powered or assisted bicycle is pretty impressive since it can help ease your trip uphill, but fancy the BlackTrail BT-01 that ups the ante by out running even motorcycles? Yes, German company PG-Bikes has rolled out the BlackTrail BT-01 which will be assisted by a 1.2-kW electric motor that helps bring the bike’s top speed all the way to 62mph, with a maximum range of more than 100 miles on a full charge. Of course, the maximum range varies, depending on the rider’s weight as well as the terrain you will put the BlackTrail BT-01 through. Good thing there is always pedal power to fall back to, but we suspect that many people would prefer to take advantage of its electric motor in the long run. At $80,000 a pop, this is definitely not meant for the average Joe, and with a limited run of just 667 units, it could end up being a collector’s item in due time.
