Google Debuts Chrome To Phone Extension

Google has released a rather cool extension for its Google Chrome browser, the Chrome to Phone extension. This extension allows the user to hit a button on the browser to instantly send the current webpage, map, YouTube video, selected phone number or text directly to your Android 2.2 Froyo device. The benefits of such a function are obvious, as you could be searching for directions on Google Maps on your desktop, hit the Chrome to Phone button to send the directions to your phone, and you’re ready to jump into your car armed with the necessary directions. If you’re too lazy to copy the telephone number of the restaurant you found on the web, you can do the same by highlighting it, and sending it to your phone where it’ll be automatically dialed. Check out a video detailing the features after the jump.
