Rumor: Nikon D90 Replacement To Be Called The D7000

Aside from the recently-announced Nikon D3100 DSLR, whispers of a replacement for Nikon’s popular D90 DSLR (pictured)have been going around for some time, and now word is going around that it will be called the D7000 instead of the D8000 as was previously rumored. The rumor comes from the same source as the accurate prediction of the D3100’s model name, so it does add some credibility to the rumor. Details of the D7000 are still unconfirmed, but rumors indicate that it might offer an optical viewfinder with 100 percent coverage and dual memory card slots, similar to the D300.
