Twitter surpasses 20 billionth message

Twitter, the service that lets you say anything within a 140-character span, has just hit another milestone – the 20 billionth message landmark was a rather opaque tweet was sent at 1544 GMT Saturday by GGGGGGo_Lets_Go, who incidentally is a Tokyo graphic designer for an advertising agency. It is interesting to see Twitter take four years to reach its 10 billionth tweet which happened in March this year, and requiring a phenomenal time of less than five months to double it. Needless to say, GGGGGGo_Lets_Go’s account was inundated with congratulatory messages worldwide. We wonder whether the odds of him winning the lottery was better, and we’re sure he would be happier as well.
