Apple Expands iPad Retail Availability to Target

In its quest to have more iPads in more places, Apple has partnered up with Target to offer the tablet at Target retail stores, and to expand iPad availability to all Best Buy locations. All six models of the iPad will be made available at Target, including the 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB WiFi and WiFi + 3G models at prices that mirror what Apple already offers at its stores and on the company’s website. However, with the expansion to Target stores, Apple will be able to target more people, especially in geographic areas where there isn’t an Apple store. Target will begin selling the iPads on October 3, and there will be a 5 percent discount promotion until October 17 for customers who use a Target credit card to pay for their iPad. Additionally, beginning this Sunday all Best Buy locations will start selling the iPads, which were limited to only about half of the big box electronic retailer’s stores when the tablet initially launched.
