DIY: Macro Lens For Your Nexus One

The Nexus One might not challenge the macro photo capabilities of your DSLR anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use it to take good macro shots – with a little help. A user out there has created a nifty macro lens attachment for the Nexus One, getting the lens from a pair of mini binoculars, and fastening it to a mounting bracket using epoxy putty. The interesting thing about this mod is that he made use of the headphone jack above the camera lens, attaching a 3.5mm male plug, so plugging it into the phone will hold the lens securely in place while being easily removable. Smart.
