Nikon D7000 DSLR announced

Love your camera so much that you do not want to “cheat” on it? Pretty hard to do with the Nikon D7000 bombshell, which was just announced. This 16-megapixel monster D7000 has just landed (confirming the earlier image leak), where it will send shivers down your spine with its 39-point autofocus system, 100% viewfinder coverage, 1080/24p and 720/30p video options, dual SD memory card slots for added storage options, a 6fps burst mode for up to 100 shots, all crammed into a body that boasts a magnesium alloy top and back. You can also enjoy continuous video autofocus which earlier made an appearance on the Nikon D3100, although there is a 20 minute cap so professional videographers might want to take note of this limit lest they are forced to stop unexpectedly on the job. Other hardware specifications include a stereo microphone input and a control dial for adjusting shooting modes. It will cost $1,100 for the body only, although you can get an 18-105 kit lens for $400 more. Expect the Nikon D7000 to hit the market from October onwards. [Press Release]
