Illuminated POV LED Clock

Persistence of Vision (POV) gadgets are always cool and are easy to impress the guests. If you’re too stingy to purchase one, you could always build one yourself as a user out there managed to build such a setup himself using a PC cooling fan to spin the PCB blades. The animation effect is created thanks to illuminated LEDs which are synchronized. The board is powered wirelessly between a base transformer and a coil on the board. The firmware that powers this clock apparently took a good 3,000 lines of code, so it doesn’t seem like something that Joe Average might be capable of doing. Still, it’s a cool clock, and you can check it out in action in a video after the jump.
