Samsung Galaxy Tab Confirmed To Be Using Corning's Gorilla Glass

Samsung’s popular Galaxy S phone was previously confirmed to be using the tough Gorilla Glass panel from Corning, and now it has been officially confirmed that the Galaxy Tab also sports the durable Gorilla Glass panel. In case you aren’t familiar with it, Gorilla glass is a thin piece of glass that boasts excellent scratch resistance and enhanced durability when compared to a normal cover glass. Perhaps the use of Gorilla Glass might be related to why the cost of the Galaxy Tab is on the high side. You might also remember that the Dell Streak which used Gorilla Glass was subject to some torture a while back too.
