Binatone sends HomeSurf 8 Android tablet to the FCC

Binatone from the UK has sent their 8-inch Android-powered tablet to the FCC, where it will be known as the HomeSurf 8. Boasting an 800 x 600 resolution display, the HomeSurf 8 will feature Wi-Fi connectivity since there isn’t any mention of a 3G radio which is a bummer, as that means you can only rely on Wi-Fi hotspots to stay connected to the Internet instead of being able to enjoy anytime, anywhere connectivity. One the bright side, at least it can handle Angry Birds, eh? Other hardware specifications include 2GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes as well as support for the Aldiko eBook store. Each HomeSurf 8 will be accompanied by a charging speaker dock which holds the tablet in an upright position, while we await for news on pricing and availability.
