Google Enhances Google News For Smartphones

Google redesigned its Google News product for mobile access on smartphones a while back, supporting Android, iPhone and the Palm Pre. Now the search giant has announced that it’s globally rolling out the new usability and visual enhancements in hopes that it will make your browsing experience a better one. The new design offers an expanded story space to make tapping on articles easier and more accurate as tapping anywhere on the article headline or snippet opens it while clicking on a section heading opens up that topic. The default view of stories is now collapsed to reduce scrolling time, allowing you to expand a story by hitting the “More sources” link. If you’re keen to give it a test drive, head over to http://news.google.com from your mobile phone.
