Samsung Introduces A 7-inch Super AMOLED Display

One of the nitpicks that some folks have with Samsung’s Galaxy Tab is the lack of Samsung’s popular Super AMOLED display and now Samsung Display is debuting a new 7-inch Super AMOLED panel at the FPD-International exhibition in Japan in two week’s time, in preparation of full production in mid-2011. The display offers a slightly-strange resolution of 1200 x 600 pixels, making it slightly wider than the 1024 x 600 pixel resolution of the current Galaxy Tab. While there isn’t any confirmation of where this panel will be used, you can bet that folks are dreaming of a next-generation Galaxy Tab with a Super AMOLED display.
